Aceh Day 2 Part 2

hmmm...
so SPAIN WON !!
as predicted d...
anyway, just into the trip aight !








Day 2 at Lhokseumawe was pretty much filled with work,
we wanted to rush through as fast as we could so there'll be more time for me to shoot later on


9.00 : Start work around Lhokseumawe*
12.00 : Lunch
12.50 : More work
13.30 : Reached Kreng Geukueh* - Work
15.30 : Reached back at Lhokseumawe* - Rest a bit coz finish work already


one thing i felt strongly about Aceh was that i totally felt as if i was in another country all together. the muslims influence were so strong that practically all the women i saw wore todong, except for the chinese of course which again were only of a minority again there, so the whole time i was there, all the girls i see were practically in tudongs. however, it was not only the girls/women who were affected. much to my disbelieve, the guys too ! okay the guys don't wear tudongs lah but they were all expected to wear long pants !! seriously ! chinese, muslims all long pants all the way and with the hot stricking weather, i was practically perspiring all day everyday the entire time i was in aceh coz i too, was then forced with little to no choice to wear the only 2 long pants i brought interchangably :(

seriously, there were even signs saying something that you are expected to wear appropriately in respect with the culture there.......

okay, back to the day........


at around 16.00, work pretty much completed for the day so Asiong, Kempes and I headed to the local nearby market and bought ourselves 3 pancings, fishing thing...very traditional type..forgot to take pic -.-"
only got the strings, the weight thing and the bait...and that was all we had to fish some 4 fish away later !! :D i caught like 1 onli while Kempes caught the rest of the 3 : /

19.12 : Went back to the Losmen we stayed at and rest more
on the way back i caught this




18.20 : Dinner at Papa Ron's Pizza :D
bought some bread for breakfast and stuff
headed back to the losmen and chatted more and sleep like at around 11 plus




okay la

Aceh Day 2 Part 1

am seriously damn damn damn tired now...
two trips with very little breaks in between and now has to practically get out everyday is wearing me down more and more
body aching all over and with the addition that my days here in medan are now within a hand's count away are really screwing my mood all over again
the lack of meet ups with love is another heartache and knowing that there's a chance that we could not see each other any more till my next holiday is totally breaking the heart into zillions of zillions of pieces...
as much as i've wished i'd be back there in singapore as soon as possible so i can once again restart the new semester with a new mindset and managing my photo galleries better or at least finally being able to freely edit my works be it from Aceh or the latest Toba trip, not being able to hold her once more before i leave is really....ah.....life


anyway,
here's Day 2 of Aceh





Time Check : 5.30 a.m.

Kempes, Asiong and myself walked to the nearby beach, just within some less than 10 mins walk away from the Losmen we stayed at

we were all unsure on whether that beach will provide us with a good viewpoint at the east but everything becomes clearer once the skies turned yellowish





it was quite a pretty dull morning,
no sun,
no terrific golden clouds formation or whatever
i just had to shoot whatever there was there then to satisfy my landscape deprived self : /





there was only this very small part of the sky that turned golden for a like a few mins only before disappering totally





so again, i shot what's at the beach instead

I'm back and Aceh Day 1

okay..another few days of absence d
but.......

i'm back once again !!
this time from my Toba trip
TOBA = Tanah Orang Batak Asli = The Native Lands of the Bataks

i was pretty sick on day 1, i didn't even shoot at all actually and recovered along the way thus the shooting got more intensive then and so i came back with even more pictures but unlike my Aceh Trip where i actually noted down in my phone the time and where i was, i didn't as much as i've wished i had so let's hope i can remember most of them well d when i blog bout it later on

oh...and i've shots some more random stuff of course before my Aceh Trip, unimportant stuffs like flies and lizards -.-" and actually just now a praying mantis actually fell on my car on my way home so i caught it to be shot later on when i'm more fit d, am down with dry cough :(
from my experience, this is due to tireness d

Aceh Day 1




Time Check : 09.30 a.m.

Kempes, the driver for the entire trip
Asiong, the salesman who is also my cousin who also is my childhood friend who i've also hung out with since like the times when i was walking and playing marbles by the streets to learning how to bike together to learning how to motorbike together to driving and now still hanging together whenever i'm back
finally got Me :D





the road to Aceh was quite a boring one...
despite the laughter from the chats the three of us had in the car under the damn hot sun with only natural air-conditioning coz the car tak de air-con punye...it can still be pretty damn boring when u have to sit in a snuffy hot uncomfortable, tak de much room to move and nothing really you can do actually except to talk and talk and talk........the photographer side of me grew stronger definitely shooting not very artsy pictures like this

this part of the journeys are filled with random talks about random stuffs from spare parts to work to girls to sharing each other's experiences and obviously sex did came into one of our topics when we're lost about what to talk about but let's not discuss them here or this blog is also gonna be so damn damn words INTENSIVE with totally unrelated stuffs

work finished already and there was no nice location to stop to shoot sunset so i told Kempes that we'll just stop randomly whenever i see an opening from the trees after trees that's blocking my view to the sun



passed by lots of place but as much as we're chasing the sun...we were actually also pretty much chasing after time to reach Lhokseumawe, our first destination city and where we were gonna sleep in some losmen that Asiong had forgotten to booked first -.-" so had to reach earlier or else at night later full already headache don't know where to go......

till now and later on, i was only able to shoot from within the car's widely opened window both for my camera to head out and snap outside the car and for the natural air-conditioning =x

but again we were still moving finding a place to get a nice shot at the sun d

the sun had turned



pretty red...it's going down pretty fast too
too low and the trees and the buildings will all block it away d




okay !
finally the first proper sun
use G9 at high ISO coz we were moving by the road so had to use fast fast shutter speed also that's why the noise so high d
but then i was still not happy with the shot

after this shot the sun set so low cannot see any of it already d
we moved on hoping to find somemore open paddy fields nearby so can shoot more properly but no more already also :(

and i kept the camera for the rest of the day
